Grain of Rice Project is a Kenya-based non-profit organization that serves as an academy program, a artisan program, and an online shop. They operate a fair trade certified worksheet in Nanyuki, Kenya where artisans work 5 days a week to bead, sew, and weave jewelry and baskets. The team of artisans work with a team in the U.S. to create products that will be worn and treasured around the world. Each piece comes with a tag that features the name of the artisan who crafted it, along with a photo and a brief biography.

Grain of Rice Project also operates the Grain of Rice Academy, which is a school in Kenya. This school aims to provide educational opportunities to local children, regardless of their family income, along with providing health checkups, school meals, and access to clean drinking water.
