Meet Jangle Apparel

As a small business, Ethos Kolekto knows how important it is to support other small businesses. It is with this sentiment in mind that we love to share all of the awesome small, fair, and ethical brands that we come across. Today, we’d like for you to meet Jangle Apparel.

Their tagline is “Ethically driven. Socially conscious. Joyfully crafted.” If you take a look at their shop, you’ll see that their collection absolutely embodies these ideals. They currently stock 9 pieces that are all made very lovingly from sustainable fibers like Tencel, linen, and organic cotton. Each piece has a custom-tailored look, fun colors, and the prints on their snap shirts are jubilant. Just check out the Vibe-alicious Pearl Snap Shirt and the Shroomy Pearl Snap Shirt to see what we mean.

Many of the pieces in the Jangle line are crafted using a made-to-order model. This method of production is often more expensive than when a more traditional brand places an order for a set number of pieces and then sells them after they’ve all been put together, but it helps to reduce waste. Instead of holding a large inventory of finished goods, Jangle is able to place orders as they come, pieces are crafted one by one, and when more fabric is needed, it can be sourced or produced without sending bolts and bolts to a landfill.

We got to try out the Obedear Jumpsuit and had an incredibly fun time mixing up the accessories to make it work for different phases of the day. It was awesome with a jean jacket and scarf for pre-school drop off/playground time, super cozy with a tank underneath and slipper socks for a morning of remote work, and we went a bit Rosie the Riveter with it for a quick trip to the garden. It was also awesome with a sweater and boots on a sunset hike. We love that it is a made-to-order piece and that it is crafted from 100% Tencel in a manufacturing center in Phoenix, AZ where workers are paid a fair living wage in a safe workplace. The brilliant blue color comes from certified OEKO-TEK dyes, making it brilliant, fun, and eco-conscious. Oh, and it has pockets. Need we say more?

What is your favorite piece in their line?
