If you’re looking for some understated fair trade earrings, the Burte Earrings are for you. Handmade from bullet casings that have been melted down and up-cycled into beads, the mixed metals make them ideal for dressing up a t-shirt and jeans, but they also look great with a sundress! These earrings were made by women in a cooperative in Ethiopia and were named after one of the artisans who creates them.
The Burte Earrings are made from 100% recycled materials. The brass beads are pure metal, and the silver beads are silver plated and may tarnish over time. These earrings measure about 1" and come with rubber backings.
